·         How do I cancel or reschedule my class?

o   If you need to cancel or reschedule a course, please contact our office as soon as possible.  We do have a Cancelation and Reschedule Policy which is listed below:

·         Does the AHA offer an online course?

o   Yes, the AHA offers 3 part online blended learning courses. Part 1, the online portion, can be completed at anytime and anywhere with internet access.  Parts 2 and 3, the hands on skills practice and testing, have to be completed with a certified AHA instructor. We offer skills sessions once a month at our Mount Vernon Location.

·         Can I cancel an online course and/or skills session?

o   These courses are NOT eligible for a refund. Failed courses/sessions are non-refundable. Skills sessions can be rescheduled with 15 day notice with no fee. 14 days or less the above rescheduling fees will apply.

·         Can I return a manual or product?

o   Yes, all products must be in original packaging, and in excellent/unused condition.  Products will be refunded minus a 15% restocking fee.  Shipping fees will not be refunded.

·         What happens if I forget to pick up my books and/or products?

o   Any products, books or tuition unclaimed within 30 days of scheduled class will become property of LifeTek/CCG.

·         Can I bring my children, pets or any friends with me to class?  What about an interpreter?

o   Only the student registered for the course will be allowed entrance. No pets or children. Special accommodations/requests need to be made PRIOR to the course during business hours.

·         Can I arrive late for class?

o   Classes will start promptly; Arriving after the start time of your scheduled class is considered a cancellation and will not be eligible for refund.

·         Do I have to have a student provider manual for class?

o   Yes.  The AHA requires each student to have access to a student provider manual before, during and after the course. You can purchase the manuals at time of registration, online in our Products Store at http://store.lifetekinc.com/category-s/1814.htm or at our main office in Mount Vernon.

·         Where can I find the ACLS and/or PALS pre course assessment?

o   The AHA pre course assessment can be found at www.heart.org/eccstudent.  BEFORE THE COURSE, it is required to review and understand the information in your ACLS/PALS Provider Manual and successfully complete the self-assessment modules on the above website with a passing score of 70. You will need to enter in the password found in your Provider Manual on page ii. You will be required to turn in the scores from your completed self-assessment. More information can be found in your student manual.

·         If I cancel my class, how will my course cost be refunded?

o   Refunds will be made in the same form as original payment. Please be aware that credit card refunds can take up to 30 days to be processed by banking institutions.

·         I have lost my card, can I get a replacement?

o   Yes. To order a replacement card please visit our Product Store at http://store.lifetekinc.com/category-s/1814.htm.

·         How do I register for a course?

o   To register for a course, click the course you need above to see the list of available dates. Select the date you want and follow the prompts.

·         What are eCards? Are they the same as a regular hard copy card?

o   The AHA now offers online eCards! Electronic course cards are viewable online, and offer a valid alternative to printed course cards. Can be presented to employers as proof of successful completion of an AHA course, and employers can verify the eCard online. May be printed, if needed. Once you have been assigned an eCard (within 1-2 business days of the course), you will receive an e-mail notification with a link to claim your AHA eCard online. eCards can be viewed/printed online for 2 yrs.

·         The class I want to register for shows it is full online.  Can I be squeezed in?

o   No.  If a class is showing full, the class location is at max capacity.

·         Do classes every get canceled by LifeTek?

o   In rare occasions, classes could be canceled due to weather, instructor illness or low enrollment. If that does happen, LifeTek waives all rescheduling fees.

·         How do I become an AHA Instructor?

o   To become an American Heart Association Instructor, please select the Instructor Course section above for more information. 

·          Does LifeTek offer private onsite courses?

 o   Yes.  We have a fully mobile system so we can bring any of our classes directly to you. Contact us for details.
