Class Registration Instructions
1. Have your VMFH Promotion Code ready.
Contact your manager to obtain the code. Entering a Promotion Code does not guarantee payment by the facility. If payment is denied, you are responsible for the cost.
2. Select the course you need.
3. Choose the correct date and time.
4. Select your Facility and Unit.
Use the drop-down menu to choose your Facility and Unit. If you cannot find your facility/unit,
 contact your supervisor for the complete 11-digit cost center number. You will NOT receive your card if the cost center is not entered when you register 
5. Obtain your student manual.
Get your 2025 Student Manual from your manager, unit-based educator, or the VMFH library. This applies to BLS, ACLS, and PALS in-person courses.

ACLS Courses

BLS Skills Sessions
If you are unable to attend a skills session at one of the hospitals, contact Lifetek at nw@lifework.edu to schedule a skills session.
Do not register for the BLS Healthcare Provider 3-hour course if you did the BLS Heartcode course.

Important:
Promotion codes are valid only for specific classes.

 

PLEASE NOTE: You must bring your Certificate of Completion to the skills session for verification. If you cannot provide proof, you will not be able to participate and will need to reschedule. The Certificate of Completion will also need to be presented at class to receive a BLS eCard. Failure to complete and turn in the Certificate of Completion will result in the need to take a full BLS course.

Staff have 90 days to complete Part 2 (skills session) after finishing Part 1 (online portion). If more than 90 days pass, you will need to retake the online portion before attending the skills session.

 

NEW & CONDITIONAL HIRES: If you are required to have a current BLS card as a condition of employment, you will need to pay for your BLS class yourself. Please use promo code NEW@VMFH for special pricing.

 

CANCELLATION: Notification of a cancellation must be made at least 72 business hours prior to a class start date and time. Depending on the course, a fee will be charged for cancellations made in less that 72 business hours. Notification must be called in to 360-416-8239.

 

ACLS Renewal with HeartCode BLS Skills:
Heartcode BLS Skills are included in ACLS Renewal classes hosted at the Franciscan Education Support Center.

 

VMFH Employees:

Your Heartcode BLS keycodes are now being sent from the RQI One Stop platform. When you log into the platform, look for the BLS HeartCode course. Please make sure you are watching the videos and not just scrolling through the slide deck.
Once you complete the course, take the survey and print your completion certificate. Bring the certificate with you to your in-person skills session.
Keycodes will only be sent to your @CommonSpirit.org email address.

If you have questions about keycodes or course access, please contact the VMFH HR Department or your Education Services Department. LifeTek is solely responsible for the in-person skills check.
