American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS)

The purpose of the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) program from the American Red Cross is to ensure that healthcare providers have the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. The course emphasizes active, hands-on learning and uses scenario activities to help participants learn how to provide CPR, use an AED and relieve an obstructed airway for adult, child and infant patients. This course gives you the flexibility to complete part of your training online through our dynamic Simulation Learning experience, which combines online coursework with in-person skills sessions, so you can earn your BLS certification your way.

After completion of the free online course, you are invited to do a skills check (prices vary) at one of LifeTek’s training locations.
